Drive a Western on the SVR!
Feel the power and hear the awesome sound of the two 65 litre Maybach engines as you take on up to eight coaches, with a Severn Valley Railway Driver Experience Course. Included in the course is a tour of the engine room, demonstration of the start up procedure, a close watch on "secondman" duties, the opportunity to drive as well as the opportunity to travel in the rear cab and an optional visit to one of the signal boxes.

12.45pm Introduction, safety briefing and instruction on the basic workings of the locomotive
